My hives are unfortunately in an extremely soupy area of the yard. In the spring that is. We've tried gravel before and everything gets consumed by the weeds and muck. Another beekeeper told me the only thing that worked for them was barn stall mats.

It is going to be interesting! Two different queens. The two different splits reacted very differently. The one split I absolutely know did not have a queen immediately went for the cage and showed interest. The other split that I dont know for sure
I needed queens ASAP and my local bee dealer didn't have any for awhile. These two ladies shipped from Iowa on Tuesday. USPS called and asked me to pick them up right now. They are super active! 🐝😂🙏🏻 Will be installing this afternoon to my splits

@thistleandtwill the Siberian Squill patch is in town 0.8 miles from the bee hives. Every year they find it and bring the blue pollen back. We drove by this afternoon to see the blooms. It's absolutely beautiful!

I went to investigate the hive that yesterday had some rogue comb. I didnt have time to look yesterday but usually when they do this they are telling me hey- we are full capacity. Houston, we so have a problem. This hive is already a massive stack.
These hives are smashing through their food and building comb. Gah! Going to be checking for space this week to slow them down and taking some swarm prevention measures 😅🐝♥️
